Q: Do compressors for a dental office need to be inspected by OSHA?
A: YES, under current OSHA regulations, once a compressor is installed it must be inspected and a letter of inspection issued. This inspection process must be performed by an OSHA contracted inspector and takes about 25 minutes. Send me an email: tom@tomterryseminars.com and I will provide you with the contact information for the inspector.

Compliance is not about making dental practices perfect, it about making them safe for both patients and staff. Look beyond the OSHA hype, and gain an understanding of the real compliance makeup. Also gain an appreciation that compliance regulations are an essential part of your business operations – in growing your practice, maintaining your practice, and protecting your practice.

Q: I was told that OSHA doesn’t have the man-power or budget to inspect dental offices, therefore the chances of an OSHA inspection is very slim, is this true?
A: No – Thinking that your office will not be inspected by OSHA or any other government agency because of man-power or budgets issues is ludicrous. More so, that an inspection is the only reason for a safe office. Set a high standard for patient and staff safety for the right reason.
